The Hubs and I had a wonderful time here this afternoon. Joel found a nice quiet(ish) spot and fished, while I wandered around and got in some practice with my new camera. There were bugs, birds and all sorts of other little critters galore.

Those who choose to fish, or take a paddle on the water go right down to the end of the park. For those who want to take a stroll, and get in some birding, read a book in the shade, or get snap- happy (I saw some pretty darn impressive lenses out there today); there are some lovely trails closer to the entrance.

We’ll definitely be going again.
