A review of this place

This park is a nice place to stop while bicycling around the lake before threading through Boeing and the airport assuming one is coming from Seattle like me (or afterwards if one is going the other direction). Or if one has some sort of watercraft. Or however one gets there. The park has a variety of amenities according to its web page:

  • 8 boat-launch lanes
  • 3 reservable picnic shelters
  • playground equipment
  • 2 tennis courts
  • horseshoe pits
  • 2 sand volleyball courts
  • interpretive botanical walk
  • fishing pier
  • IVARS and KIDD VALLEY food concessions
  • water walk
  • summer swimming area (Swimming permitted only at the swimming beach. Although swimming is permitted at any time during hours of operation, swimmers are advised to observe the posted signs indicating when a lifeguard is on duty.)
  • over 1.5 miles of paved walking trails along the shoreline
  • access to the Lake Washington Loop Trail on Lk. Wash. Blvd.
  • ADA accessible

The veggie burger I ate today there was nice although I can’t really judge its quality as I was starving and inhaled it. It did make me want to take a nap rather than continuing home.
