Antigua

This was a stop on a Southern Caribbean Cruise that I took in April of 2007. We went to a resort for the day, and got to use all of the facilities. It was absolutely beautiful, the water was warm and people were friendly.

One for every day of the year.

What else is there to say?

We went to Antigua in Nov ‘06 for a wedding. We were lucky enough to stay at a beautiful home situated high overlooking St. John’s Bay. The people of Antigua are very friendly and I highly recommend that you visit Shirley Heights Lookout which hosts Sunday-afternoon barbecues that continue into the night with reggae, soca, and steel-band music and dancing. The food here is AMAZING and better than any BBQ you’ll ever attend. The music is so great and if you are a dancer/drinker/partier, you must plan to stay until it ends. Otherwise, Antigua itself is an amazingly laid-back island, with beautiful surf and sand. You MUST go!!!

Antigua…the place of my dreams. I thought i actually died and went to heaven when i arrived at this paradise. yes its pricey for two weeks but oh my god is it worth it. I stayed at pineapple hotel in Longbay. The hotel i stayed in was 5* and had a private beach. Three resturants, bar, 3 swimming pools, Nightclub, mary’s babeque shack, a casino, water sports, gazebos, beach games including volleyball, a spa and entertainment everynight including fire eating and limbo. I have never been any where as nice as here and i would jump at the chance to go again.
