Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 6 months ago

    Worth visiting!

This became my favorite beach!!! I love the cliff there, the giant sand dune and the whole beach with its soft sand. It’s easy to jog there and I could spend hours just exploring this beach. The city itself isn’t that interesting.

With a hike up megadune at Cape Kiwanda. We can spend hours watching the blow hole below, the waves crash from the top of the dune, hiking around the trees, the tide pools.

Great beer and beautiful views from Pelican Brewery.

Ride your bike around town, stop at Grateful Bread for breakfast then continue around to Tierra Del Mar.

Take a bottle of wine to the boardwalk at Shorepines, sit at the top and watch the sunset.

While Florence has good dunes, Pacific City’s are simply amazing, and a hell of a lot of fun.

More specifically…that little 20 by 70 foot cove inbetween the two rock walls on the far side of that huge sand dune. I want to camp there for a week this summer. Anyone who wants to join should definitely show up, it’s by far the best spot on the Oregon Coast.
