Wild River State Park

Looks like there are tons of “easy” cross-country ski trails and it is only an hour from the Cities. We are excited to go back and try those trails out.

This is home. Probably because I spent so many days here back when I was homeschooled, working with the naturalist and just roaming about. I’ve hiked every trail here at least ten times, some at least twenty. I’ve found artifacts, I’ve been stuck in a field during a lightning storm, I’ve had close encounters with bears and really pissed off raccoons. I’ve hiked here in snow, rain, and sleet. It’s home.
