We camped here for my birthday. The beach was gorgeous to swim in though a wee weedy. The rocky lakeshore I found to be less weedy to swim in, and is strewn with piles of perfect skipping stones. The vista of stars and moonlight on the lake was amazing. Another fortunate day for weather, no wind, rain or mosquitoes. Just fire, trees, sand, stars and conversation. It was good to feel connected to the universe again. However, the addition of alcohol, I feel, later made us ugly, rude and inconsiderate. Next time, cutting it off earlier or entirely would make a more enjoyably relaxing trip. There’s a long boardwalk through the marsh to be checked out.
