Worth visiting!
The last time I went to this place
was last weekend, after attending the fish fry in Manchaca. Kim N and I went there to get a drink, which we did, and then had dessert, courtesy of a gentleman there with whom we had a connection. I ordered the peach “pudding” which was pudding in the old-fashioned, British sense. It was a little like cobbler in some ways, and served with cream like cobbler, but lighter and more cake-like. Kim had the chocolate cream pie, but we both had ample portions of each. We couldn’t finish them, so took them home and finished them off the next day.
To give credit where it is due, Kim took the lovely picture above.

A tip I have about this place
On the menu, they say the fries are world famous. Well, they really are the best fries you could eat! Try their dipping sauce with them, too. They’re wonderful.
This place is also very vegetarian-friendly. You have many options off the menu!

A tip I have about this place
They’re famous for their fries, but I’ve had fries that I like better. They do have intersting appetizers, like fried artichoke hearts. There are other good dishes too, like the pimiento cheese sandwich. Has some veggie options. It’s a pretty popular place, so if you show up at meal time, expect to wait a while. It’s better to go there on a day when you’re eating between regular meal times.
