Waterfalls in Los Angeles County! by anissel

http://tchester.org/sgm/hikes.html – this page will tell you more about the “hidden” waterfalls and swimming pools than I ever could. If you’re tired of the cars, smog, and buildings, take this (very) short trip. My husband and I kept saying “I can’t believe we’re in L.A.!”

Good for Camping & Hiking by madamwitty

I went camping at Lake Campground in the Angeles National Forest this past weekend. It was quite lovely, and not crowded like the state parks. I think it’s nicer than the San Bernadino National Forest (which we drove through to get there) since there are more trees.

A good time was had by all.

Take note: if you’re coming from L.A., check the road conditions before you try to drive up the CA-2 to get there. Some of my friends tried to do that and had to turn back once they’d already driven halfway up the mountain since the CA-2 was closed.
