Minam River Lodge

Minam River Valley, Oregon, USA is a small community of 2 seasonal facilities (Red’s Historical Horse Ranch & Minam River Lodge) in the Eagle Caps Wilderness Area of northeast OR, which sits along the Minam River. Red’s Horse Ranch is where many Hollywood notables have come in the past to getaway from it all. Yes, literally away-from-it-all.
To get to Minam an individual has a choice of trans-portation, by airplane, by horseback (4-5 hour ride/ shortest route in), or on foot.
This was the first mountain trail ride Kittee & Dale have taken with Nugget and Misty, and we are so proud at how well they performed, on two foot wide – mountainside trails, over rocks, crossing creeks, rivers and high wooden bridges.
Kittee and I are now planning on going back next year to fish the Minam River (a pristine gin clear river with beautiful sapphire pools that hold Dolly Varden char, redband/steelhead trout, and Chinook salmon).
