A review of this place
They sometimes have special food festival of certain country. Unfortunately I didn’t catch that, and it was “international food”. The food is OK.. but nothing to write home about.
Still worth doing if you haven’t been to UN.
The first few times I called the reservation line, I didn’t reach anybody. I was told to leave a message, but never received a call from them. I called again a day earlier, and was still able to get a reservation.

A review of this place: Great Food and great consultations.
They say more world problems are discussed and resolved here than any other place in the world.
But just as important, everytime I’ve eaten here the food has been extraordinary, phenomenal, 5 stars!

Interesting place to have lunch
This dining room is open to the public, but you must make a reservation. This place was cool, because most the people eating there work at the U.N.. You get a ‘day pass’ badge which you wear while walking around the U.N.. For $25 it’s a pretty good buffet lunch.
The view of the East River is good, but you are only on the 4th floor, so it’s not breathtaking. The U.N.. HQ is an old building and it certainly shows it wear. It took about eight minutes to get through security. All visitors go through the same tent, so it can be a bit of a wait. I’ve heard that the tours they offer are not very interesting, so skip the tour, and just go here for lunch.
