Kauai

We were there in August of 2005. I learned that it is the rainiest place on the planet.

We went to Kaua’i to celebrate our second anniversary. The snorkeling was incredible (especially at Tunnels beach), though some of the beaches were pretty rough. We really enjoyed staying at the Kaha Lani near Lydgate Park. To celebrate our anniversary, we had dinner at Tide Pools at the Grand Hyatt. Everything was incredible and I would go back there in a heartbeat (if I didn’t have so many other places on my list).

Went in June of 2002. It is the only Hawaiian island I have visited, so I cannot compare it to others. All I can say is that it was truly beautiful and worth the 13 hour trip from the east coast. Would love to go back.

Amazing all around. My moments of zen come from this place.
