The first time I went to this place  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

My grandma, my parents and my self all went to this place on my first day back from sailing on the St. Lawrence II (a tall ship that sails out of Kingston), so I was hoping it would be good. First, we’d checked out a sushi/Chinese place up the street from it, but the moment I saw that it mixed sushi and Chinese and saw the gaudy decorations, I knew that that was NOT the place to go.
I came back especially hungry, and my dad is also a big eater, so I ordered the sushi-sashimi platter B- a 76-piece sushi-sashimi platter that comes with 4 soups and salads, and for my grandma and my mother the tempura dinner. Green tea was served the moment we sat down, and refills were free, so I drank around 6 cups throughout. The servings-per-piece weren’t big, but that’s traditional style, and the ingredients were MUCH fresher and more select than I’d expected. I’ve always said good sushi can not be without great ingredients, and Take Sushi managed to make some very good sushi. The total price was $120, and despite my 4-pound meal appetite, I took a few pieces home.
I’m yet to try their uni and tako, two of my favorites, but I’ll remember to order them a la carte in future. Also, their unagi is awesome!
