Torre Agbar

Agbar is the water company, and this is a unique office building that they have recently completed in Barcelona. We visited on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to find a visitors center and a gift shop open. The building is uniquely shaped, and stands out like a bump in the landscape visible from various vantage points around Barcelona. It is quite modest in scale and seems to fit well with the relatively low construction of the city’s buildings. The construction is unique and incorporates two internal cylinders for support. The building is interestingly lit at night and is painted in many colors. Of course it is an office building and so the most you can visit is the lobby (at least on Sunday). But I found the structure interesting and worth visiting.
