I accidentally stumbled upon the Irish word for...
clitoris here while talking to a few people about my new favorite sport: hurling.

I was asking about the ball that is used, called a sliotar (pronounced roughly ‘slither’ with a soft ‘th’)

and I mispronounced it, much to the amusement of my new Irish friends. “Oh that’s a ball, alright!” one of them managed between gasps of laughter.
