Complex of the KAZAN Kremlin

Kazan provides the most incredible colors. The day we were there offered spectacular views of the churches and mosques against the backdrop of the clearest blue sky I’ve ever seen. My photographs are nothing compared to the pictures in my mind. We spent just a few hours there while waiting on a bus to Chelny. We walked through the Kremlin and spent time in the center of the city.
Even though our group virtually screamed “American tourist”, the people we met were warm and friendly and tolerated our limited Russian while answering us in near perfect English.
