Olive Trees by FlyGirl
There are olive trees here that have lived for hundreds of years, although the clergy at the church there say they were not the trees in the garden when Jesus prayed there. Those trees, they say, were ripped out by the Romans who leveled Jerusalem.
Still, it was impressive to see these old, gnarly trees that seem twisted with some kind of arboral agony. And perhaps they grew from pits dropped by the trees there at the time of the Christ.
