Olive You

Uhh this is not Italian. this is Turkish hands down. The owner is Turkish, the food recipes are Turkish, and the music they play is Turkish. Just an FIY

This is a really cute and yummy Italian/Mediterrean food market and cafe. They sell tons of deli items and have an extensive menu. They even have samples of pita bread and olive tapanade to snack on.

For lunch I had a falafel sandwich with garlic shoestring french fries. I’m a vegan and they had no problems making substitutions. The prices are fair, the service was good, and I enjoyed sitting in front of the deli case and gazing on the grilled eggplant slices.

the service was incredibly slow but we were all the way in the back, it’s probably better up in the streetside/bar area. they have some delicious treats, next time i will try just meze plates so i can taste many things. also they forgot one of our dishes. Yanni’s (greenwood/75th) is more reliably delicious for greek, but sometimes you need some variety…
