Beautiful... by Absinthe27

Gorgeous! Even at ground level it is still amazing. The steam coming off the top reflects the different spectrum of colors as it rises away from the spring.

It’s worth looking at if you have the time, but it’s much more impressive on the postcards. When you visit the site in person, you’re at ground-level with it and you can’t really see the colors very well.

This place defines the word “beauty.” Pictures don’t do it justice, and I’ve never seen a bad picture of it.

All of Yellowstone is wonderful, and much of it borders on incredible, but this place is the best of them all.

It's Huge!! by russellviii

I believe that it is the biggest hot spring within Yellowstone.

In order to really see the beauty of it you have to see it from some distance away. When you stand beside it, it’s difficult to get a feel for its size and to get the full effect of the prismatic colors.
