Chongwen District aka: 崇文区

Recently back from visiting my daughter in Chongwen. I found it very easy to get around by subway or bicycle or taxi and it was very convenient to everything – Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, shopping, great restaurants. The small unimpressive restaurants in the hutongs were the best! Now I see why my daughter loves it there! The people are friendly and it’s very safe. I would love to go back.
We stayed in a hutong for several days and loved it – but just expect it to be kind of dirty and people spit everywhere!
But I would definitly do it again.
