A review of this place: Al fresco Sunday roast

Hole in the Wall is a typical gastro-pub that serves very nice food. Their Sunday roast is just great and deserves a special mention for coming with a healthy mix of root vegetables that were common fare in England half a century ago but have now disappeared from most restaurant’s menus to the benefit of bog standard French fries.

In terms of drinks, they have a good wine list, with unusual touches like a great Sancerre Rosé, and a decent range of beers.

The place itself is large and airy, while keeping with a traditional pub decor. The beautiful garden at the back is the perfect place to have a lazy cold drink on a hot day.
