I shall return...
I was going to stay here at the Cosmopolitan, but changed to a place that had a (cheaper) single room in midtown.
The film festival started the night before I had to fly home, so I missed that.
All in all, I think i’ll need to go back there!

As a Volunteer
For the first annual Tribeca Film Festival in May 2002. I stayed there for a month in a rented room. Worked on the festival’s merchandise sales team selling T-shirts, caps, umbrellas and what-not. It was great to be helping out in the post-9/11 environment. Got to have lunch at Robert DeNiro’s Tribeca Grill. Saw Bobby himself on several occasions. Also, Sheryl Crow, Billy Crystal, Peter Fonda, Jimmy Fallon. Scored a pass to the M-TV concert in Battery Park and the debut of the latest Star Wars film, Episode II – Attack of the Clones. Lots of little art studios to explore. Had drinks at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Well worth a visit when you are NYC.
P.S. For those who are curious, TriBeCa is short for Triangle Below Canal between the Hudson River and Broadway. It’s where the Twin Towers once stood.

Untitled
We were lucky enough to be here when a street fair raged along the street. Things to eat, buy, and ogle. A peace rally was happening at one end. New York at it’s finest.

Great neighborhood
I’ve got some friends that live in Tribeca. Also, it’s a great place to go out. There are lots of great restaurants too. And Tribeca comes from Triangle Below Canal (Street).
