Shanghai Cafe

Despite having worked in this area for nearly three years, I had never been to this Shanghai Cafe, having probably tuned out its existence among the many dull strip-mall facades of Factoria. Claire suggested it for lunch last week, and I enjoyed a unexpectedly yummy crispy beef with orange flavor.

The surface is not promising: the Shanghai Cafe has a dull strip mall facade in the suburban hell of Factoria. The food then would then surprise you. The Shanghai Garden restaurants (one in Issaquah, the other in Seattle’s Chinatown) are bigger than this one, all three have equally good food. There are unusual dishes among the usual items, and the green shaved noodles are excellent.
