Palm Springs
A tip I have about this place
North Palm Canyon is more of a “locals” area - try Koffi on a weekend morning for, well, coffee (NPC and Alejo). Visit shops/galleries nearby: Dwight-Pollan Antiques (Asian), TIL (Things I Like), the shops in The Galleria. Going south on Palm Canyon you encounter a little more touristy atmosphere - not a bad thing - we love and need tourists! “Village Fest” is every Thursday evening - PC is closed off for several blocks. Not exactly exciting, but fun to go to once in a while. Just off Palm Canyon toward the mountains is the Palm Springs Art Museum. Quite nice for a small town museum—good traveling exhibits. For a good dinner on North Palm Canyon go to Buscoso – great food, atmosphere at reasonable prices (no, I don’t own it.) Good, local inexpensive restaurants include Sherman’s Deli on Tahquitz Canyon, just east of Palm Canyon, and Rick’s, west side of North PC north of Vista Chino. Thai Smile on PC has good – you guessed it – Thai food. Enjoy Palm Springs!!!
