Marquis Theater

The Drowsy Chaperone made reference to a theatre that was destroyed in order for the Marriot Hotel to be put up, I wonder if that is true.

If you get there early, before the event starts, there are no seats directly outside the theatre, which bothered me since my feet were killing me. I had previously thought the dearth of public seating in NYC was a class thing, but it turns out it is also just part of a general contempt for the general public :P

It was cool watching those space-age elevators zoom past you.

The theatre itself was pretty nice, I like the broadway theatres, so different to watching a play in a super-new theatre somewhere else.

At this theatre I’ve seen:

• The Woman in White
• Thoroughly Modern Millie
• Annie Get Your Gun

Not true – I just figured out I’ve seen six shows at Al Hirschfeld Theater
