A review of this place: Banker's Pub

Go past the Griffin that marks the entrance to the City of London, where Strand becomes Fleet Street. There on the left is the Old Bank of England. Go through the monumental doors of what used to be an old office of the Bank and enter one of the most majestic traditional pubs in the City. The impossibly high ceilings, ornaments and layout are a testimony to this past. Bankers can still be seen here today but they are lifting pints and telling jokes rather than counting money. In summer, a nice walled garden at the back adds dimension to the place and contributes to making it one of my favourite pubs in London.
