Le Diplomate

Basically for many years Le Diplomate was the only real sandwich shop around this place, outlasting a few competitors along the way. The arrival of Lee’s Sandwiches has meant they’ve had to adjust their prices down a bit to compete (I can’t complain about that!) but the quality of the place remains pretty solid—besides Vietnamese sandwiches you can get a slew of good Euro- and American-style sandwiches and a few other things as well. Very popular and the waits at lunch can be long, but it’s a good reliable fix and I’m glad it’s there.
