Write an entry Entries about this placeLive here. by sugarandcandyPeople are always saying how horrible Stoke-on-Trent is. Well to me it’s home, always has being and always will be. If I ever do move away from Stoke-on-Trent then I will miss it alot :( True I always say how much I can’t wait to get away, but really deep down I never mean it. over 6 years agothis little town by mementoesit’s a nice town to visit, especially during summer when you can go from one potteries museum to another… or just for a stop-by before you head to alton towers. the location is quite good as well, only about an hour by train from birmingham/manchester or an hour and a half from london. i can’t say i love the place coz having grown up in a big city, stoke doesn’t offer much. i prefer visiting newcastle-under-lyme which is just next to stoke although it’s actually smaller. anyway, i live in stoke at the mo because of my job that i enjoy doing, so… i can’t complain that much, can i? :) over 6 years agoI'm here for uni by aboutpaulaand its not that bad considering you only have to go 5 mins outside the city and your in the countryside. The people are usually friendly but of course there are a few who are not! I wouldn’t come here to visit unless you are a fan of potteries. I have yet to go and see them so can’t say whether or not thats a good reason but living here is cool but extremely cold here in the winter. Bring a coat, scarf, and gloves and anything else that will keep you warm! over 6 years ago |
