Gifhorn

I was born in Gifhorn. My parents still live in a village near Gifhorn, Wilsche, where I grew up.
So when I go to Gifhorn, I will visit my parents. But there are still a lot of fun things to do in the little “boring” place I grew up in: There are a lot of lakes one can swim in in the region, one can visit parts of the castle, or walk around the Gifhorn castle lake. The International Wind and Watermill Museum is always great for a visit to have a piece of freshly baked cake or bread (stone oven!) with a thick layer of butter.
Of course, I remeniss about being at the “Waldsee”, where I used to swim and sometimes spend the night stargazing.

Edit: Googling for Gifhorn pictures made me homesick. Darn.
