The Blue Wisp

Years ago I lived in O’Bryonville, a suburb of Cincinnati. We (my “ex” and I) had an apartment above “The Player Piano Shop”. Two doors down the street was “Wispy’s” a local hang-out. The Blue Wisp Big Band was born at “Wispy’s” place. For years people went to hear this incredible band play. “Wispy’s” is long-gone – a wine shop replaced it. But, the music of “The Blue Wisp Big Band” continues on and on. Stop by on a Wednesday night to hear their incredible music. Or, enjoy other evenings of jazz. It’s a great evening @ 8th & Broadway Streets. I have a small collection of vinyl & CD’s of “The Blue Wisp Big Band”. They have a place in Cincinnati’s history. They are a legend!
