Not many people know, but there is a beautiful Chapel located on the grounds. My parents were married there, along with mnay of our friends, and in October 2006, we were married here as well. It’s beautiful! over 4 years agoWent skiing by fidgiegirland saw 15 deer on Pike Island. They just looked at us as if we were the wildlife. A neat sight even as Hwy. 5 rumbled by above us. over 5 years agoUntitled by fidgiegirlIt has a nice swimming beach, a little weedy, but not too busy even on yesterday’s 100 degree day (we did go later in the day, though . . .) The planes were loud going overhead . . . You can walk to Minnehaha Falls, to Fort Snelling to poke around, or just around Pike Island. I’ve canoed there before, too, launching onto the Minnesota – it got rough once we hit the Mississippi. over 5 years ago |
