Worth visiting!
The first time I went to this place
I visited the BOBO about 2 weeks after hearing the lead singer of the rock band Kansas, Steve Walsh in an interview on V-100 say that the band always stopped in at the BOBO because they used to hang out there in the 70’s when they were small-time.
Although I had driven past the place hundreds of times, it took an aging rocker of a band that I secretly enjoy because they share my home state’s name to convince me.
Long story short, the burgers are great. They’re juicy, and taste like a freshly made burger should. Unlike half-pound bar burgers, these babies were smaller burgers (1/8 pound variety) that came in a basket with fries and an old-school RC Cola.
Bring some extra cash for a slice of apple pie. Good anecdote about the pie… I asked the waitress what kinds of pie they served, and the answer I got was…
“The only kind of pie that we’ve ever served… Apple, honey.”
My response to that was…
“This is my place then, because that’s the only kind of pie I eat.”
