Geffrye Museum

There is a small setup of the regular exhibition and a temporary installment downstairs that was strange but very cool and interesting. We spent ages just looking at all the small details of the rooms from each period displayed. The building itself is worth seeing as it is an excellent mix of the old almshouses with modern changes and passageways. The cafe looked excellent and we spent some time in the shop. There is a peaceful garden out front and people were sitting in small groups chatting and enjoying the day.

I would like to see the Domestic Archaeology installation. The whole place looks interesting – furniture, textiles and paintings displayed in period rooms from 1600 to today. May go at the end of this week!
