But watch for broken glass.

It is making a come back, but you can tell that humans have been here in droves. There was littering and broken beer bottles on the path, and someone had made a concerted effort to step on nearly every mushroom the day we were there. Lots of trees were carved with initials. The paths are wide and worn. Many of the wooden signs have been broken by visitors. There was a feeling that the people visiting the park were not all on the same page about what conservation is all about.

So it was a bit of a disappointment. Still, being out in the woods for an hour is special.

And as I said… easy hike. I did it in my flip flops.
