It’s cheap, tasty, fast, and good. I’ve gone here everytime I come to Chinatown for lunch. My favourite lunch? Pork and century egg lugow (aka congee or jook) with one perfectly chewy fried crueller. It costs me less than $5 every time and is so filling and good. I add a little shoyu and hot sauce and mix it all together.

authentic cantonese food ( i like their congee most ) and damn good value for the price!

- don’t expect the cleanest or the best service in a place like this on Mott, but definitely worth a visit if you’re into Cantonese food

When I first met my husband, before we moved to NYC, he would almost get tears in his eyes reminiscing about Big Wong’s: oh, the roast pork at Big Wong’s! how I miss it! how I loved it! And I was like, dude, it’s pork. how good could it be?

So, when we moved to NYC, we went there.

My god, was I ever wrong. The roast pork is the penulitmate of pork, what all pork should aspire to be. Juicy, a little sweet, tangy… perfect.
