I fear Elfland may be no more...

I used to spend quite a bit of time wandering around this forest back in my UCSC days. All kinds of weird bivouacs and other dwellings made from logs, fallen trees, mud, etc. Especially beautiful in the rain.

This was back when there were only 8 residential campuses at UCSC, and there were rumors abound that future colleges would encroach on this fairly remote part of campus. I hope not.
