Le Papillon

I went to this place last year on my birthday… I was soaked when I walked in and my friends were already waiting. It’s French and Quebecois and the staff are all deliciously bilingual and very accomodating. We had a nice bottle of red Chilean merlot (Gato Negro, I think) with our dinner crepes, all of which were delicious, hot, and fresh but not quite large enough. My friends tried the escargot for a starter and apparently they’re not bad, if a little squishy. A good place for a high-end meal downtown, but probably overpriced for the quality of the food. That being said, it has an excellent atmosphere.
