Squam Lake

Squam Lake New Hampshire is the most beautiful tranquill place in the world. Ever human being who has ever lived should visit it. I spent 2 summers there when I was younger and I plan to retire there. (I’m only 16 now though :/) I stayed in a friend’s family’s home which was 2 stories plus a large attic old home which had three private “beaches” and they had their own island (really small but still the idea of having your own island is awesome!) The fishing is great and in the summer you can pick blueberries and eat them fresh off the vine. I love this place so much. Once, I was just casting off the dock and it was my sisters friend’s 8th birthday I think and her dad promised that if we caught anything we’d throw it back since we were just casting. Not more than a half hour later I caught a huge bass on my line with my little froggie lure and it was an amazing experience for a (11?) year old girl. I had to throw it back, and that night her dad went fishing with the same lure since we now thought of it as lucky and a bat flew in and snapped his line. The next day we went on the boat into the fishing shop and he, my dad, the 8 yr old, my sister, and I all bought new frog lures. The lake is so clear you can swim wherever you want, the place where the picture on top is taken I went to once and our family took our Christmas card photo there. Nearby is the town Sandwich and I forget what it is called something like Center Sandwhich Restaurant where they have amazing beer-battered french fries. We would always buy corn beef hash at Bob’s market. I’m a pescetarian now, but if I went there I would definetly eat that corn beef hash. You should definetly go to Squam.
