Castelvecchio

This was a memorable museum even among many other museums we visited in Italy and Austria on one trip. It has many remarkable early pieces, including some wooden statues such as I hadn’t seen elsewhere. The setting is marvelous, the old castle having the modern museum inserted into its context in an intriguing way.
