Vasquez Rocks

Don’t just visit the big rocks. Take a hike over the ridge. You’ll find lots of wonderful nooks and crannies and in the spring some wonderful wild flowers. Not too strenuous for casual hiking, either.

Went here on *9/23/07. It was a neat hike and climbing the rocks was a thrill. Awesome view from the top.

everytime i pass it on the 14, however, i am reminded of the seen in little miss sunshine where they leave from albequrque for redondo beach, and within the first few minutes of their road trip, it’s actually filmed on the 14 passing the vasquez rocks. so every time i pass it, i say we’re suddenly in albequrque!

Best known as that place that Kirk kicked the Gorn’s butt… Vasquez Rocks has been featured in numerous TV and movies over the years.
