Jubail
Worth visiting!
A review of this place
This is a very well-oraganized city. The Royal Commission for Jubail is doing a great job regarding the development of this industrial city and the residential area is far more beautiful than any city in the world :)
The beaches are wonderful, there you can relax under the shade of palm trees or take a swim in the sea. several activities take place in the beach such as the flower festival.
There are beautiful gardens with recreation areas for children. families like to go there for a barbecue. And alot of peaple like to go there for a walk and enjoy the scenery.

Lived / worked there for 9 years
It is not a bad place – just a big petro-chemical industrial city located on the Gulf Coast. It was formery a smallish fishing / pearling village. The downtown is indistinct flat tile block buildings, mostly small commercial shops. The Industrial city is home to some mega petrochemical joint ventures between SABIC and various foriegn oil companies. There is relatively modern housing for the industrial city residents – looks like a residential area out of Arizona – all courtesy of Bechtel. Like I said – not a bad place – but there are much more interesting destinations in Saudi Arabia.
