The Jolly Green Giant

I asked some cashiers in the nearby Wal-Mart why there was a statue of the Jolly Green Giant in their town and they said they didn’t know, in a manner that led me to think that they had never thought of or heard such a question before. I’d say it’s worth visiting only because it’s less than a minute off the freeway.

we used to stop here all the time when i was a kid on family road trips. There is (was?) a dairy queen right next to it. It’s an amusing attraction for, about, 4 minutes. then back in the car.
