Charlotte Amalie

I normally hate shopping areas that cater to cruise tourists but had a good time here. All the rum samples probably had something to do with it.

Charlotte Amalie has to be one the most beautiful ports, but the layers of overpriced touristy shops that line the shore are not worth de-boarding (unless you enjoying blowing money). However, if you can stroll on past, & get at least ten blocks into town, &/or up into the hills, you can finds some quaint bookshops, cafes, and many historical churches & synagogues…

At least around the harbor, this seemed to be just a t-shirt tourist shop for cruisers.
