Chateau de Villandry

This chateau is rightly famous for its gardens – they are amazing. They were the first formal gardens I had ever seen, I could have wandered around them for hours.

The actual castle itself is pretty modest. However, the gardens are some of the most splendid I’ve ever seen. Even if you don’t like the perfection and style of French gardens, you can’t help but admire the beautiful lines and spectacular colors.
