I didnt know about this town until we saw the signs on I5, It was quite funny. Not sure what was going on but about 5 minutes past the town there were about 25 police vehicles on the side of the road; looking for ‘tourists’? heh. anyway not much to the town but a good place to stop for gas and snacks before Medford.

As it were. And yes, they’ve heard ALL the jokes. Anyway, it’s the chief town in Siskiyou County and more importantly it’s a major stopping point for anyone taking the car up the I-5—you need gas or food or the like, it’s as good a logical stopping point as any because there’s not much else around for a long stretch. Last time I was in town I saw the Oscar Mayer wienermobile and concluded it was a good omen. Town’s got a web site so check it out if you’d like!
