Siskiyou County

It is an incredibly beautiful place. The main valley has Mt. Shasta on one side and the Eddies on the other and grassy plains in the middle. The area is filled with nature in every state, from the pristine feeling on the Marble Mountain Wilderness Area, to the only-slightly more used Pacific Crest Trail, to the developed Ski Park and recreational lake. I think the only reason I moved away was that I was off to College and to find a larger population of people my age.

And the landscape can be amazing—Mount Shasta is right there, for a start. But I admit I’ve not really taken the time there that I could, aside from one town in particular, about which I’ll have more to say shortly in its own entry…
