A review of this place: Yuck

This place is a chain Filipino fast food restaurant. There are a few of them in the Los Angeles area. I have no idea why. If you go there you can enjoy weird and gross combinations of foods like spaghetti with hot dogs and cheddar as well as burgers with pineapple and cheese. Don’t. Just don’t unless you want to get sick from your stomach even from the smell of going inside. I think the only edible thing is the boba drinks. I got a combo in there just to get the CD in Tagalog, and that didn’t even work. So don’t be a martyr and order a combo just for the CD. :)

Pretty bad, actually.

Everybody was in town this weekend, so we finally went to Jollibee! It actually turned out not to be that good. For one thing, they had absolutely no entrees for the vegetarians in our group, so they had to satisfy themselves by eating some of my fries as the rest of us ate. DH and I shared a Palabok Fiesta (some sort of shrimpy curry type sauce over rice noodles) and an Amazing Aloha Burger. I thought the burger (which featured a large pineapple slice) was decent, but the reconstituted shrimp in the Palabok wasn’t all the way reconsituted (crunchy…) Brother #2 ordered 3 Juicy Yumburgers, of which he decided he could only bear to eat 2. DH ate the third and thought the sauce was a little weird. I didn’t dare to take a bite.

Sadly, nobody ordered a Crispy Chickenjoy, and since we’re never going back there, we’ll never find out how it is.

Why I want to go to this place

This is a weird little fast food place I pass on the way to a friend’s house. According to signs in the windows, they serve ‘Yumburger’ and ‘Chickenjoy’. And you gotta love that happy bee out front. But I’ll have to wait until M comes to visit; he’d be sad if I went without him.
