Parque Bolívar

My father would take us to the retreta religiously every Sunday. The retreta is a performance held in a public plaza or park. The repertoire varies from classical to popular music. My father would carry me on his shoulders so that I could see the musicians; the heavyset man in the tuba was fascinating! This is a wonderful tradition, and a treasured memory.
