I live in Alaska where William Seward,the man who spearheaded the purchase of the Alaska territory from Russia, is revered. While visiting famiily, the opportunity to go Auburn to see the William Seward house came up and I took it. It is a grand old house and I am told it was part of the underground railroad. Not surprising, the Harriet Tubman home is not too far away. If you like old houses and historic sites, don’t miss it.
