Llangollen

It was very pictureque there. I got a bit of a stare from the locals but it was nice.

While living in England, I had never been to Wales. One afternoon, my boyfriend and I popped in the car and headed to Wales – destination … simply Wales. As soon as we crossed into Wales, Leigh asked where I’d like to stay and started pointing out some English-sounding towns. That simply would not do! I requested we stay somewhere that sounded …. well … Welsh. We found our way to Llangollen. While at the pub, I tried desperately to learn to properly pronounce the name – I failed. :o( But the town was divine, the people were superb, the drink – was well …. it was fabulous. I highly recommend this escape to all. :o)
