Boston Mountains

We were going from Fort Smith up to Fayetteville to see a Razorback game and instead of taking the freeway, we took Arkansas Highway 7 through the Boston Mountains. It was very, very, winding but really beautiful. If you have the time, I would recommend to get off the freeway and see the sights. Pretty mountains and friendly people.

The Boston Mountains in northwest Arkansas are just beautiful. They are a part of the Ozark Plauteau that pushes upward into beautiful mountain ranges. The best time to go is in the Autumn when the leaves turn beautiful shades of oranges, yellows, and reds. While it is true that almost every hill in Arkansas is called a mountain, this area has some true mountains. I would recommend it highly.

The Boston Mountains are the most impressive mountain range in the state. They are taller than most of the Ozark hills and truly have some beautiful views.
